On January 10, 2025 the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness (NJOSHP) launched the first delivery of UAS Training for Law Enforcement. This program is geared towards front line first responders in the law enforcement community who will undoubtedly encounter UAS in the field as this technology continues to grow.
Participants are taken from what a UAS or drone is through how to mitigate errant operators within the existing legal methods. As the course deliveries expand, feedback from participants will impact the lesson plan using real feedback from the target audience.
